Default Diet THK?

Ok weird story. It was me and E/mo playing warder and obspike, 2 ritualists spirit spamming, one canthan mesmer, another war, and monk with Mhenlo and Lina. We just ran THK and get all the way to the keep, the mission so far being insanely easy with rits spamming shelter, union, ritual lord, and life. So anyway, the siege part of the mission comes along and maybe 3 or 4 groups of enslaved frost giants and herders show up. I throw down a ward of stability and we waste them like theres no tomorrow. So then we just sit there.... for a long time waiting for the big siege to hit. NOTHING HAPPENS. No jades, no mursaat, NOTHING. So we are all sitting there like wtf, wondering when we were gonna get mauled by the mob. Me and a war scout to find the mursaat and see what the hell is going on. So the mursaat, the bosses and chryos the magnetic are just strolling along the fields like its a big picnic. They were completely oblivious to us. We killed one group then headed back to the keep when Jalis started screaming about Dorian coming. We sat there thinking the mursaat where FINALLY going to come and put up a fight and lo and behold a mass of red starts appearing. So we setup to hold the keep.... Dorian shows up with his entrourage of like 8 level 10-15 white mantle. It was a giant joke. We wasted Dorian and sat there in ember light camp... I was like ok what the hell just happened. That mission was not THK. I was wondering when we were going to wake up to find ourselves dead and screaming at the last surviving tanks to rez while Jalis Ironhammer's life dwindles away into oblivion. Somehow it was like THK was laughing at us... like this just didn't happen. I halfway expected to see Ironhammer transform into Danika and start spamming Blood of Zu Heltzer uselessly while THK laughs at our feeble attempts to beat it. It was the weirdest THK run ever... I called it "Diet THK." I dunno, THK bugging out and being that easy, with no mursaat siege at all? This craziness happen to anyone else?

On one hand, that's pretty lucky getting a free ticket through THK. On the other, that is my favorite prophecies mission and would be pissed if I just stood there for 15 minutes doing nothing.

Never happened to me. I just did that mission about 2 hours ago, and it was perfectly fine. Maybe it had to do with you running the area?

I strangely recall reading about a similar situation for some reason.

The only time thk has bugged for me is when all the mursaat/jades/giants on the left side of the keep all got stuck on the keep door.So by the end of the mission the right side had been cleared but there was about 25 jades etc stuck to the door.We just nuked the hell out of them of course.

I would LOVE that to happen when I get there----I need to map the outside, if we have like 10 minutes of idle time I could get that done....and I would be one happy monk!! (am at 99% right now and thats the biggest area I have left unexplored). And I need that bonus too.....

For the exploration, i have a screenshot of me and my group outside THK sitting on the portal. You can explore the are after everyone is dead aslong as no one talks to the king, we did this for the pick ups and the chest outside the gate. Incase you needed the area explored for the title.

We when me and my guildies did it the other day it was only semi diet o_O (that sounds so wierd)

Anyways we had some friends who needed the bonus and a guildie that needed the mission (and some area uncovered). We start the bonus and all I can recall was getting RUSHED in the past when you start the bonus.... They filtered in so slow that we were all running around the floor of the keep 2 of us taking on the mursaat and bows with little to no problems... It was insanely simple and slow! We thought for sure we missed the bonus cause it just didn't go the way it usually did.... Our friend and his guildie are flipping our and ready to just up and quit the mission after exploring... I convinced him to stay because heck what would it hurt to wait 2mins more (he was sure that the bonus triggered before you talked to the king at the end). One of our guildies was like: Nooo you don't get the bonus till you TALK to the king (the rest of us had just forgot).

But he got the bonus, and it was just wierd how slow they all came in... There was even a weird human mesmer boss that wasn't a mursaat that we have never seen before -_-

One time when I did THK, it bugged so that a few waves ended up getting stuck, and then the ettins started killing the mursaat. And everyone was killing eachother, but not the PCs, haha. It was kind of comic. It was, the LONGEST THK ever though. We sat for like, 20 minutes just waiting for enemies. And then shows up like, 3 mursaat with half health. It was funny xD

I remember hearing about this bug ages ago. I guess something got bumped back into the "Bork'd" pile with some random update. It may also have been because of your mad dash through the area.

"as long as no one talks to the king"..............yepo, thats the kicker.....thats like telling people to NOT talk to the ghost in the uw or only take x quest, dont drop the bridge (sf)......someone invaribly DOES what you asked them not to (happened the last time I did THK, which is part of the reason I have been putting off doing it again....) It gets annoying having to repeat something just because you have kids who cant/dont read in your group (and my guild is very small, so I ALWAYS pug or hench).

Hehe, its much easier to just rush to the fort, then go for a (very) quick run around the edges. Worked for me and i had to do it 5 times (4 times i missed a bit 1 Jalis ran off randomly into a group we were miles away from...)
